I Wish
The golden dog
at Brandon’s house in Boone
would not make my allergies flare up
because I love when she is playful and happy

So much depends upon
my icy blue hair straightener
turned on high heat
pulling my dark brown curls
into straight flowing ends

So much depends upon
my little burgundy cellular device
that rings more than a church bell on sunday
to keep me connected with the big beautiful world
and is silent after dusk when I am in sweet slumber

Love your poems! Nice word choice! It is sad that you are allergic to dogs. They are such wonderful pets!
